The Make Way for Ducklings unit study guide is an all inclusive Charlotte Mason curriculum designed to teach your child a whole range of topics through living books. Make Way for Ducklings is the spine of this unit study and other supporting books are used to learn science, social studies, map skills, poetry, history, writing and grammar, and art throughout the study.
Each of the 20 lessons is preplanned, ready for you to pick up and read the lesson with your child with minimal preparation. Narration is the central method through which your child will engage with the books in this unit study. Your child will be acting, writing a post card, building a model, learning traditional verbal narration skills, and a whole lot more!
The additional books for this study cover a wide range of difficulty, both in material covered and sentence structure. Some lessons will be challenging and will stretch your child’s mind, while others will be lighthearted and fun. Each of the additional books should be available at your local library or are available for purcahse from your local bookstore or Amazon.
This robust curriculum will become the highlight of your school day as you engage with your child and learn all while having fun!
